Artist statement

Shadow and light coexist in each of us. They are intimately linked, forming the balance of our being. Yet there comes a moment when an inner click happens, sometimes triggered from outside, sometimes born of a memory, of pain or of awareness. That click lets light overcome darkness. It awakens, spreads and begins to shine. At that moment we stop enduring our shadows and begin to understand them, transform them and move forward. The flash of light in the eye symbolizes this revelation: the moment we see more clearly, recognize our own worth and dare to follow our path. The eye becomes the mirror of the awakened soul, witness to the passage from shadow to awareness.
